Scouts from around the world

International Scouts at AJ2028

Ten days. Ten thousand Scouts. One unforgettable Australian summer.

There's a paddock in country Victoria that's about to become one of the biggest Scouting cities on Earth. From December 29, 2027 to January 7, 2028, more than 10,000 Scouts will descend on Elmore for the 27th Australian Jamboree, and we're saving a spot for you.

Come for the Jamboree. Stay for Australia. You'll spend New Year's Eve under a Southern Hemisphere sky with thousands of new mates, camp in the middle of an Australian summer, and go home with stories nobody back home will quite believe.

International Scouts don't watch AJ2028 from the sidelines. You'll be embedded in an Australian Jamboree Unit, camping, cooking and tackling every activity together. By day three you'll have picked up the slang. By day ten you'll have mates across every state of Australia, and an open invitation to come back.

At AJ2025, a record 519 international Scouts from 15 countries joined us. Norway to Fiji, Japan to the UK, they all made the trip. We reckon AJ2028 will be our biggest international turnout yet. Be part of it.

Who can come

There's a place for every age

Scouts aged 11–15

Attend as full Jamboree participants, camping with an Australian Unit. Join through the equivalent section of your home Scout organisation.

Youth 16–17

Join us in a service role, working alongside Australian Venturers to help run the Jamboree. Venturers will also have program to have fun as well.

Adult Leaders

Adults are welcome as Leaders travelling with their Contingent, supporting young people throughout the event.

What matters most

We don't expect international Scouts to have completed Scouts Australia program requirements. What matters is that you're an active, registered member of your national Scout organisation, you're ready for ten big days of camping and activities, and you can take part safely.

How to get involved

Arrange attendance through your National Scout Organisation

International attendance is arranged through your National Scout Organisation. If your country is interested in sending a Contingent, get in touch with our International Team.

Good to know

  • Contingents arrange their own travel, insurance and visas.
  • Many Contingents build a pre or post tour into their trip — we reckon that's a great idea.
  • Australia's worth the look around.
